Brrrrrrrr......

It is a cold one.  But we braved it and were all the more proud of ourselves for it.  Low 20s.  Plenty of sunshine.
A non-scary house
(Lynn, Louise, Larry—the 3 Ls)

We started the same Parker Hill Ave route but after a few curious turns we were actually a bit lost!  Not scared-lost just interestingly-lost. We discovered Allegheny Street where I took a few pictures. Some lovely colorful houses mixed in with some scary looking ones.

Then we gambled on a dead end street....and we almost lost! We found ourselves standing atop a steep cliff staring straight down. The (cold) adults in us didn't want to turn back all the way down that long street in the wrong direction home. So luckily the kids in us were willing to venture a bit further and we found a very narrow path downward leading to several large boulders which we were able to climb down—you know how: foot, butt, rest, slide, foot, butt.....) It was fun!

We talked about our babies, of course, and college applications, and something new: The Afro-Semitic Experience.  They're a great band playing Jewish, Christian, and African tunes. They participated in our service yesterday morning and performed for us in the evening. They ran some workshops —I did the drumming. I rattled my gourd (guiro) and kept the beat. Yeah, me!  If you see their name around town, check them out.

The gals

Well, that's all the time we have folks.  Have a lovely week.

Larry and Denise, have a great visit to Israel!!!  We look forward to your stories when you return.
