No time to walk on Saturday. Computer troubles again....I found an extra 89,000 files in my Documents Library and tossed half of them into the Recycle Bin only to discover that I needed those files! It took me 6 hours on Saturday to restore them. And I'm not done. What a #(*&$%*# waste of precious time. And now I'm stuck with all these files, with more and more being added every day. YIKES! Gotta love Windows 7.
Oh, we were talking about walking. Lynn and I did the hill alone yesterday. What a beautiful day. Warm and sunny on Feb 20. So wrapped up in conversation that I forgot to take pictures. Then today, Presidents Day, I walked with Louise who was busy shopping at IKEA yesterday. So that accounts for the 2 walks in 3 days. But what about the 3rd in the title, you ask? Well, I lost an earring (hence the only photo). A very beloved earring, all wire and primary-colored beads straight from the earlobes of an African woman in Africa. (hand-me-downs, I've never been to Africa) Wouldn't you know it, today I didn't bother with the little white thingies that hold the earrings on.
Louise, dear friend that she is, offered to back-track with me a little ways to see if we could find it. A little ways turned out to be past Landmark Center! Yes, we originally walked Muddy River and the Fens to the MFA and back. That must be nearly 4 miles round trip. Then we did another 2 miles, eyes down the whole way. You'd think it would be easy to spot those colors but unfortunately we did not. Aw, phooey. (this is a G-rated blog after all) So I returned home with cold ears because I didn't bother with a hat, either. Who knew we'd walk more than up the block.
Well, I'm done in! Have a great week, great vacation to all the kids.
