Almost Like a BHS PTO Meeting!

Louise joined me and Lynn this week.  (Howard had car troubles and was sad to miss the party--on his birthday!)  After all of Louise's trepidation of climbing the hill and holding us back, she charged up and had Lynn and I panting behind her!  Perhaps it had been a poker bluff ;)  or maybe she just surprised herself.

It is a lovely, cool, sunny day.  Lynn and I showed Louise the sites, routes, and discoveries we'd made since over a year ago when we innaugurated this ritual together.  We were reminiscing about our first trek many moons ago:  we panted up the hill, collapsed onto the small wall at the top, rested, then went home!  The next week Hilda and I ventured out together and she had me walking all over Mission Hill.  We've come a long way since then.  We've added several members to our group, not once have I been on my own (which is a good thing, I may not get myself out the door otherwise!)  And we've gone co-ed:  Larry comes when he and Denise can tear themselves away from their adorable grandchildren; and Howard has become a regular (birthday aside--now he's out working, poor guy.  We'll have to take him out to dinner tonight.  Any suggestions on where to go?)

Here's a photo of the two Ls in front of the 70 year old stone wall whose story I don't remember the details of.  One day I'll scroll back to the day we learned about  it from a friendly neighbor.

Hubby just called, on his way home.  Good news!  They want to put in an offer.  Two celebrations tonight!
