Through Ice and Snow...We Are Not Daunted!

I must say that if not for Lynn I might have given up a while ago.  It's cold out and these days a long walk is uninviting to say the least.  Of course the uphill piece does warm the senses but one doesn't remember that fact until it's happening.  [And these days "the senses" are warmed quite often enough without the help of any outside exertion! ;) ]  It's still lovely out—if you focus your gaze upward....

Big news in the Mosner-Koor-Goren household: Goren has moved out as of today!  Good for her.  March will have been a full year since she came back home escaping a very bad situation indeed.  She has survived, is so much stronger, and is thriving.  She's found a new career in the food world having burnt out of the healthcare world already.  She's made new friends and rekindled old friendships.  It's been a wonderful year for her and for us.  It's interesting living with an adult child: she now understands my need to "mother" and no longer takes it as a personal affront to her maturity (or lack thereof).  And while I can't just turn off that mothering, I have learned to let go of the results of my attempts when they don't turn out as I'd like.  She and three friends have rented a cute house in Newton, her bedroom is the size of our livingroom!  Maybe bigger...  They've got a deck and a huge backyard, a fireplace, and an enormous basement with a washer and dryer.  Not a bad place to settle into.  I'm sure you join me in wishing them well.

Now I get her old room back!  After I clean it.  But a fresh start in taming the clutter will be nice.

I'm off, have a great week everyone.
